Compressed air filtration in the process area -
Combination of high-purity materials and modern filtration technology
Sterile filters are used to remove microbial contamination and thus produce sterile and germ-free compressed air. Since microbiological contaminants are fertile and living organisms, they need to be devitalized at specified intervals by sterilization. Steam filters can be used for this process, producing the high-quality steam required for sterilization.
The filter consists of a stainless steel housing for pressures up to 16 bar. The housings are equipped with threaded connections for the inlet and outlet of compressed air. Other types are available on request. The surface of the inner and outer sides of the filter housing is electrolytically polished. The outer side is further polished mechanically. The upper and lower parts of the filter housing are connected by a connection according to DIN 11851 with a profile aseptic seal. There is therefore no dead space in the filter. The filter elements are connected to the body by a bayonet connection with a double o-ring.
The FWPV series filters are filters for ventilation and aeration at atmospheric pressure. An example is the supply or exhaust of air from a vessel with a changing liquid level. These filters are used in combination with a sterile filter element. The heat-sealed, corrugated or pleated sterile and steam cartridges are binder-free and can provide various degrees of filtration for the production of sterile compressed air or sterile food. The filter cartridges provide all degrees of industrial filtration.
