Becker claw vacuum pumps
Claw vacuum pumps are oil-free air-cooled industrial vacuum pumps. They are suitable for both continuous and intermittent operation. Maintenance and operating costs are minimal. They are equipped with a highly efficient exhaust pulsation damper.
These devices are suitable for almost all process applications:
- plastic forming and extrusion
- wood drying, impregnation
- sterilization
- pneumatic conveying
- hospitals (central vacuum systems)
- electrical industry
- etc.
The pumps are equipped with integrated suction filters, which are located under polycarbonate transparent covers. Available variants:
Type | Volume flow (m3/h) | Max. vacuum mbar (a) | Motor | Data sheet | Operating instructions |
BCV 100 | 100 | 50 | 2,2 | ||
BCV 150 | 150 | 100 | 3 | ||
BCV 300 | 275 | 150 | 5,5 |
The performance is given at an atmospheric pressure of 10103 mbar (a), a temperature of 20°C and 50Hz.
The compression chamber is non-contact and the risk of wear is minimized. Cooling is provided by air and therefore there is no need for liquid cooling. The compression chamber is oil-free. The rotors are synchronized by gears in an oil bath, which is separated from the compression chamber.
Claw vacuum pumps are suitable where there is a risk of chemical attack and oil degradation, for example in oil vacuum pumps.
Function principle:
The double-claw rotors rotate in opposite directions in the compression chamber. The tolerance between the rotors is very small, just to prevent them from touching. The movement of the rotors is synchronized by a gear train in an oil bath.
